“Don’t Just Fall in Love—Understand First”

 In a relationship, understanding usually comes before love—and it helps love grow deeper and stronger.

Here’s why:

🔹 1. Understanding builds the foundation

You can't truly love someone without first knowing and understanding them—how they think, what they feel, what hurts them, and what makes them happy. Understanding helps you see the real person, beyond surface emotions or attraction.

🔹 2. Love without understanding fades

If love comes first without understanding, it can be shallow or based on fantasy. But once conflicts arise and you don’t understand each other, love can begin to feel frustrating or confusing.

🔹 3. Understanding deepens love

The more you understand your partner—how they process things, their past wounds, their dreams—the more your love becomes patient, kind, and enduring 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 describes.

In summary:

Understanding is the soil;

Love is the flower that grows from it.

If you want lasting love, seek first to understand. That’s where true connection begins.

NOTE:In every true relationship, understanding comes before love.

Because you can’t deeply love someone you don’t truly know.

When you understand their heart, their silence, their scars—

Love becomes real, not just a feeling, but a choice.

So before falling in love, fall into understanding.

That’s where the strongest love begins.”
